Drysdale was a bit ropey to start with but improved over the season - there is a L2 player there. Resigned to losing Farky and Dem. Clarke is a bit meh - confident we could take a punt on someone new who could do a similar job. Maybe another youngster in on loan to play CB too.

Not sure about away from home as I didn’t see many games away from RP but at home I think Baker benefited from playing in a back 3 which normally was up against a lone striker. Farky normally picked up the oppo striker, leaving Baker and Dem with a little less pressure. I thought Baker struggled a bit playing the Farky role v Crewe. Having said that if we are to continue to play 3 CBs I would be happy enough to have Baker back.

I would be surprised if Baker was only given a one year contract last Summer when he signed for Stoke, they will have had to pay a fee for him at the time and I doubt they would have been expecting a 19 year old to break through into the first team in his first year.
