Astonishing total of 500+ in a day curtailed by bad light. Never believed I would see such a thing in a test match against Pakistan. Such positivity made to look ridiculously easy.

I'd be looking for 850-900 to put them under scoreboard pressure now because no doubt it's a really flat wicket

Root must be gutted

Reports of "Thank you England". Chants and banners at the ground....Quality touch.

Well done Stokes .......set up a generous chase and a reward of a good end to the test for the crowd
Great sportsmanship

well that looked different at Tea....

That Jimmy Anderson is a freak of nature....He is like a bottle of wine that gets better with age..He is 40 years of age and at the end of day five he has bowling figures of 24 overs and has figures of 4 /36 with 12 maidens in that as well

What a win

What a win indeed. Fortune(and skill) favoured the brave. So refreshing from the often ultra cautious approach usually applied in test cricket.

Massive result...great for cricket and despite the loss Pakistan crowds and players have my respect as well
