This is the official name for the England and Wales Cricket Board, not the English Cricket Board, there is no such thing. The initials ECB instead of EWCB were chosen by the members, majority English, when the TCCB and other cricket groups merged in the late 90’s.

My opinion fwiw, Scotland and Ireland have full cricket status, so it’s probably about time that we did too. Probably historical, economic and social factors as to why we don’t. Also know that in Pembs, cricket is huge in the summer.

A lot more cricketers in Wales than in Scotland, Ireland and Netherlands yet, unlike those countries, we will not see a Welsh international side. Glamorgan and Cricket Wales simply won’t go for it as they’re worried about losing their funding from the ECB and the loss of staging England cricket games rather than growing the game further in Wales and having kids/adults dreaming of representing our country. Fair play to the Scots & Irish who had the courage to go it alone, unfortunately, like so many other things, Wales chooses to hang onto England and be an afterthought.

Great knock by Malan to give England a decent total. Still fancy the Aussies to win this though

This is not a proper series, they don't even want to be there, it's just about money.

If England cricketers can’t get up for a series against Australia there’s something seriously wrong.
