The match at Crewe has been brought forward from Saturday 3rd Dec to Friday 2nd Dec at 7.45pm.

"This is to increase the supporter experience" so our website says. It's been changed because England and/or Wales may be playing a Round of 16 World Cup match on 3rd Dec.

It certainly will be quite an experience travelling to Crewe on a Friday night

I suspect the suggestion came from Crewe where I believe some English people live. Great hosts aren't they ?

If so, they must expect England to finish second in the group as the group winners play on the Sunday with the second placed team playing Saturday.

Bucks the trend of lower league clubs trying to avoid evening games because of the cost of switching on the floodlights. I’d have thought a lunchtime kick off would have allowed fans to travel, watch the game and then spend time in the pub watching England flatter to deceive.

The police won't want us anywhere near a pub in Crewe if Wales are playing, or even worse if England are playing and get knocked out.

Well, that idea worked out well didn't it. One game I had wanted to get to. Fast train from Euston and a short walk to the ground on a bracing Saturday afternoon. Still I can watch the US of A for free from my couch (not).
