Re: The annual where will we finish thread poll
3I've said tenth. We've lost Sheehan, Labadie, Twine and Cooper from what we had at the same point last season. Granted, we only had the latter two for half of last season anyway, but that's four extremely good players there who all helped to propel our wonderful start last year. I think our signings so far have been good, but it's asking a helluva lot for them to be at the same level as those four - and I also remain unconvinced that we've addressed the deficits on creativity and firepower which dogged us for chunks of last season.
I'll be delighted to be proved wrong, but I think this may be a season of consolidation and rebuilding - perhaps with a cup run along the way.

Re: The annual where will we finish thread poll
4For the same reasons as Kardiff I went for a more pessimistic 17th. I will also be delighted to be proved wrong, and if I am no doubt some on here will be delighted to point it out come May.
Re: The annual where will we finish thread poll
5Gone for 8th. If we achieve that it will be an OK season and anything else is a bonus. Reality is, I haven't got a clue.
Re: The annual where will we finish thread poll
6Gone for us to win it, everyone shopping in the bargain basement this year and I think we have done ok with who we brought in. Time will tell
Re: The annual where will we finish thread poll
77th - would be great if we could could go up automatically or make the playoffs (even though i hate playoffs) - but as long as we are not relegated I will be content.
Re: The annual where will we finish thread poll
8Gone for 9th. Again I can’t see us scoring enough to be serious contenders but we’ll be ok defensively.
Re: The annual where will we finish thread poll
9With Haynes, Greenidge and Richardson in the 1st XI it’s top of the league all day long.
Re: The annual where will we finish thread poll
11Last season's short-lived but delightfully slick and quick footballing style would see us do well for the entirety of this season if we can sustain a decent playing surface, but I fear we haven't adequately replaced Sheehan, Shephard or lined up a dynamo loanee such as Twine.
8th with grit and experience.

Re: The annual where will we finish thread poll
12Gone for 9th, not convinced we have quite enough goals in us.
Re: The annual where will we finish thread poll
13And it's a third posters prediction of 9th from me for the same reasonGeorge Street-Bridge wrote:Gone for 9th, not convinced we have quite enough goals in us.
Re: The annual where will we finish thread poll
146th for me. If we can get some regular goals, even higher.
Re: The annual where will we finish thread poll
15I went for tenth, we’ve got a really tough few games, all away plus a difficult cup opponent plus so many new players needing time to bed in.
I reckon we’ll be bottom third by Xmas before putting together a run of form. If that’s true, MF probably won’t stay, if I’m proved wrong and we’re up in the mix again I’d expect him to get a new two year contract.
