What snow? There's no sign of any snow in Cleethorpes and Saturday's clash with @NewportCounty is set to go ahead as planned. The pitch has been covered all week to protect it from frost. Secure your seat here https://t.co/abvD5rIfJH #GTFC https://t.co/xFfsN2pRPs

Believe it is a little milder on the east coast with above freezing temperatures forecast overnight. Therefore not expecting a cancellation for Grimsby game.

A few Vale fans on Twitter reckon it’s tactical.
Re: League 2 matches off
5IIRC last season's game against Accrington was called off early because of the weather between there and Newport.
Re: League 2 matches off
7According to a cold weather map on tv yesterday, the eastern coastal side of England was green and above freezing. It was the inland bit that was blue and below freezing. It may be that getting to the game will be the issue, not the game itself.
Re: League 2 matches off
9Slightly off topic, but I note today's Newport RFC's game at RP postponed due to 'snow on pitch' which will probably help our game Tues, although rain forecast for Mon & Tues.
Plus Swindon v FGR postponed.

10Pitch is beyond help already.
Perhaps the best investment we could make with the fa cup money (other than at Spytty) is grow lamps?

11Interesting suggestion. Excuse my ignorance about these. Presumably they help to encourage grass growth. If so what would the costs be?Amberexile wrote:Pitch is beyond help already.

Re: League 2 matches off
15We should demand they are necessary and pay one third of the cost. Get an EFL report to back up our claim them get screwed over running cost
