Re: It's Man City
18With Man U. v Chelsea removing one top club and the other big casualties, looks like our name is on the cup this year!!!!!
Re: It's Man City
19While I’m not as optimistic as you ( ) I was thinking earlier if two big clubs get drawn together this is the year a non-prem team could win it.IMB wrote:With Man U. v Chelsea removing one top club and the other big casualties, looks like our name is on the cup this year!!!!!

20Yes there were 10500 at Somerton Park in a League Cup game.G Guest wrote:Old hat. I've seen County play Man City before, at Somerton Park.

Re: It's Man City
22The Middlesbrough replay is now worth £500k to County, a completely transforming amount. Only problem is that Middlesbrough also have an incentive with the plum tie.

1947 I was there too. Think Frank Swift was in goal for them and we lost 3-0

24Absolutely right. But not the one I was thinking of. BTW the away result that season was even worse with City winning 5-1.Merseymale wrote:”Old Cromwellian”quote] “When was it?”

25Please don't let it be a repeat of the replay at home to Plymouth where we would have played Liverpool in the next round.
I wonder what state the pitch will be in by next Tuesday. The Dragons played against Munster on Saturday in terrible conditions.

27Yes, BBC reports that it is from this season. It's an incentive for 'Boro as well of course and they will be up for it. No money spinning trip to the Etihad for us then if we draw. We'll do them on penalties after extra timeElmo wrote:From this season apparentlyUPTHEPORT wrote:That's next season isn't itElmo wrote:no replays in the 5th round so we'll have to beat Citeh 1st time out - of course a little matter of seeing off 'Boro in the replay first but what an incentive

30Good thing we play at a rugby ground because it could be a rugby score.
In 2019 City have scored 30 goals and conceded just 1 in only 7 matches
