Biggest crowd for 59 years.
1It is likely that County will be watched by the biggest crowd since they played Spurs at WHL on 21st January, 1959. Let's hope for a better result.
Cheaper tickets in 1959 though.G Guest wrote:Spurs are clearly on the slide. It was 50,561 last time we played them away.
It isn't because Wimbledon sold out.County Exile wrote:Think I read somewhere we had the biggest away following at Wembley since Spurs started playing there. Would be great if true.
It'll almost certainly be true, the allocations for the FA Cup are a bigger percentage than Premier League or Champions League. Though 10% of 90k is more than 15% of 51k they haven't given the away teams an allocation beyond block 117 in the Premier League because of their season ticket holders and they don't get to use the full capacity.County Exile wrote:Think I read somewhere we had the biggest away following at Wembley since Spurs started playing there. Doh, keep forgetting they were drawn at Wembley, possibly because I didn't bother watching it as a foregone conclusion.TBWAH wrote:Marky wrote:It isn't because Wimbledon sold out.County Exile wrote:Think I read somewhere we had the biggest away following at Wembley since Spurs started playing there. Wimbledon sold out their 7550 allocation. Don't know how many you chaps brought in total. However, their's was on a Saturday, impressive but 7k+ mid-week for the distance you had to cover is very impressive.
That's what MF said in post-match interview.County Exile wrote:Think I read somewhere we had the biggest away following at Wembley since Spurs started playing there. Would be great if true.
Think we would have brought more than that UTP. After all we took 1600 to WBA in the League Cup. Personally I would have preferred WHL because of its history, and I'd already been to Wembley twice before.UPTHEPORT wrote:Think honestly if it was at WHL we would have brought 1500 tops think Wembley still has a big pull
