The chairman, owner, and financer of Fleetwood Town is currently on remand after being found guilty of defrauding charities, small businesses, and individuals over several years, by tying them into long term, unaffordable energy contracts. He is going to be getting a prison sentence of some description, and you'd assume it would be years by the fact he's been remanded.
Presumably a Proceeds of Crime Act will follow, which you would have to assume, would spell bad news for Fleetwood Town.
A poorly supported club, in a region flooded with monied football clubs - most of who are poorly supported - having their dodgy owners' money taken away from them.
Back to North West Counties League with you lot.
Re: Fleetwood Town
2Andy Pilley owns Waterford FC as well, if only they had a crystal ball to play with.....
Re: Fleetwood Town
6Ouch. He'd have got less by getting someone else to do all his dirty work, then killing them and plea-bargaining down to manslaughter.
