6First black player I saw over at SP (against us) was Albert Johannsen who played for Leeds. 64ish. Maybe later.

According to Ambrosen, Neville Chamberlain was the first black player to play for the first team in 1983. Mardenborough didn't arrive until 1985.
I remember there was a Nigerian who played for the reserves in about 1970. Because he made no first team appearances he is absent from the records. Perhaps others can remember him as well.

9I remember watching Richard Brown in the reserves in the late 70's but he never made the first team
