Fully deserved victory for Iran of course, but won't resort to insulting words about the Welsh team who were eventually beaten by a technically far superior and street wise team. We done very well to keep the scoreline to 0-0 until injury time, despite clearly playing with players who were not match fit.

Half listened to it as at work - so didn't SEE the performance, or lack of, but the vibe from radio 5 guys was that Wales were poor - hate to be the annoying 'told you so' but we have a VERY limited team - on balance we are about where we should expect to be on the world stage and no shame in that.

Still a slim chance of going through - we'll have to hope England batter and demoralize USA for starters

that'll end the debate on Yma o Hyd

[edit] and stop all this patronizing and silly guff about Wales being limited BUT not to worry as 'we have team spirit' absolute bowlox! ALL teams have 'spirit' look at an equally limited Iran/Canada - the problem is the team and set up think they are better than they are - nowt so worse as delusions of grandeur - to analogize Wales are a middling championship team trying to play premier league football against champions league teams. Play to your strengths as *say* Greece did in the Euro's in 2004 and it is possible to win. There is a happy medium between the crippling inferiority complex of Wales' sports teams of the past and the 'Bertie big bowlox' attitude - Wales rugby & football need to find it.
