Good Afternoon
Well done Priestly! I did say he would score sooner or later! At 45/1 for first goal scorer my £1 was a good investment! Even better as actually here to see it!

17Never heard that expression used in this context before.

18What odds would you have got on him getting a brace?!phil_in_npton wrote: November 19th, 2022, 4:03 pm Good Afternoon

20The match announcer gave the second goal to Demetriou, which is rather strange since he took the throw in which led to the goal.
Re: Exiles Grandstand - Newport County v Gillingham
21We won which is the main thing. Two of the scrappiest goals you will see but who cares.Still plenty to work on.
Re: Exiles Grandstand - Newport County v Gillingham
22The ball spent more time in the air than on the floor. It was head tennis at times. Scrappy game but overall I did think we deserved the win. Mickey D immense, Farky immense. We have a good centre back unit there. What we were crying out for was for someone to put their foot on the ball and hold it, it doesn’t have to be hoofed as soon as we get it. The most important thing was the three points, we needed that.
Re: Exiles Grandstand - Newport County v Gillingham
23Farky was my MoM, followed by Lewis and Evans.
Re: Exiles Grandstand - Newport County v Gillingham
24Agree with all of that. Still a lack of confidence a lot of the time when in possession. Few more home wins and clean sheets should help.pembsexile wrote: November 19th, 2022, 6:18 pm The ball spent more time in the air than on the floor. It was head tennis at times. Pleasing to see another 4000+ attendance, despite a poor season.

26The attendance was about 500 higher than last week which was surprising after the poor performance against Stockport. The away support today was less than last week which means a substantial increase in County supporters. Could this be due to no Premier League or Championship games?OLDCROMWELLIAN wrote: November 19th, 2022, 6:34 pmAgree with all of that. Still a lack of confidence a lot of the time when in possession. 27As well publicised I wasn't going today after last week. However well done to those that did & chuffed that we won & moved further away from the relegation spots. Looking forward to the next home game.

Or was it Dafydd Iwan's appearance, and the Welsh middle class cabal.

29Cardiff weren't playing at home today. I fail to understand why the EFL are incapable of doing what the Football League managed 50 years ago and co-ordinate Local 'rivals' not clashing fixtures.Blackandamber wrote: November 19th, 2022, 8:44 pm

30It wasn't, last week was 4200+ the announcer didn't add the 500+ away support! to the home support but managed to get it right this week!Blackandamber wrote: November 19th, 2022, 8:44 pmThe attendance was about 500 higher than last week which was surprising after the poor performance against Stockport.
