So, after effectively proving the Tory members (who voted her in) don’t know what they are doing, the only transparent and fair process is to call a GE but they won’t do that as they’d lose handsomely.

Therefore I predict another secretive internal campaign, full of funny handshakes and back-stabbing, which would result in one of the following installed as PM -

Sunak
BoJo
Mordant
Ben Wallace

Bojo is sunning himself on a beach somewhere apparently, no realistic chance, but you never know.
Ben Wallace ruled himself out of the last Tory leadership election.
Sunak is seen as a socialist by the right wingers in the Tory party and they blame him for Truss woes.

I reckon Penny Mordant will get it. Ticks all the boxes as a unity candidate. The best thing she can do when she gets it and has settled in is to call a general election. Stranger things have happened. I’ll bet she says nothing about the National interest in her campaign. It’s in the national interest to have a GE.

Well, well. We are led to believe that Bojo is on his way back and is considering making a bid for the Tory leadership. He apparently has a lot of backers. Have people completely lost their senses or are they blinded by his ‘charisma’.

Notwithstanding his previous form, he is currently under investigation by the Parliamentary standards committee as to his conduct whilst PM. If he is found guilty, he could be kicked out of Parliament. Are the Tories serious? They could find themselves with a Prime Minister who is not an MP. Absolutely absurd that the tories are even considering this. You just cannot take them seriously. The world has gone mad.

It's not sense they lack but compassion. Here's their analysis.

We are f@cked. If Johnson comes back he can claim he has a mandate from 2019 and therefore dismiss calls for an early general election. Although this winter is going to be total sh!t we can spin the narrative that everything was the fault of Covid, Putin and Truss. By the end of 2024 the economy should be picking up. Johnson defies electoral gravity.

Will it work? Probably not but it might. Is there any other way we can win? No. So we might as well give it a shot? Yes.
