True but this wasn’t boring merely a bit like parks football. Brilliant result thoughStan A. Einstein wrote: January 25th, 2022, 9:44 pm Boring 1-0 away wins on cold January nights is something promotion winning teams do.
Re: Grandstand: Leyton Orient v Newport County
33Since Pask joined, 3 wins and 3 clean sheets. He reads the game so well and anticipates problems.
Re: Grandstand: Leyton Orient v Newport County
34Great result, defence played well didn't think orient troubled Townsend even though they had more of the ball 2nd half
Re: Grandstand: Leyton Orient v Newport County
36That was a very resilient performance, paricularly after losing both Azaz & Telford, as said Pask is an absolute diamond signing, and Cain improves with every game! Marvellous stuff, well played lads!......COME ON 'U MIGHTY PORT.......
Re: Grandstand: Leyton Orient v Newport County
37Did you see how we won the corner for the goal? Quite comical defending
Re: Grandstand: Leyton Orient v Newport County
38Wow better than I expecting.
Another clean sheet as well.
Well done lads and Cameron for the goal.
Let’s not mess our good run up on Saturday home to Barrow.
Will sleep better tonight.

40Where do you get this inside knowledge from?Castle Exile wrote: January 25th, 2022, 8:25 pm Calm down people. Telford and Azaz both out with slight knocks both picked up on Saturday and as I alluded to on the other Orient thread
Re: Grandstand: Leyton Orient v Newport County
41Impressive fighting result, agree with others above - it's the result you'd expect from a promotion side. Credit to Rowberry too, we weren't keeping clean sheets and he's done something right (Pask definitely helps) to get 3 in a row. One more result against Barrow and we'll have real momentum for the tough run ahead.
Re: Grandstand: Leyton Orient v Newport County
42There won’t be much highlights for the club to put together but,I will take the win.I thought we were a bit hurried in our buildup play, maybe Azaz was missed there.Very positive by JR to have Norman in their box late on,I cannot imagine Flynny would have done that.Hoping for a big crowd Saturday now to boost the coffers and the players.
Re: Grandstand: Leyton Orient v Newport County
43I don’t think Fish made anything of his first start for a while. Two players missing and Timmy still can’t make the 18 match squad. Not much back up in that area is the only worry.
Re: Grandstand: Leyton Orient v Newport County
44Well, that was a great effort. The whole team worked and worked for ninety minutes and individually and as a team imposed themselves on the opposition. We seemed to have more belief than Orient and thoroughly deserved the win. It says a lot that when us fans were probably thinking it's a point well earned, the team wanted more.
Re: Grandstand: Leyton Orient v Newport County
45After 27 games last season we had the same number of wins, draws and losses. but better GD this season
