2Not surprised, he's reffed regularly in the Championship and has many years experience.UPTHEPORT wrote:Take a bow Mr East very good game

4Thought he let us off the hook when he stopped play and booked Pipe, with Nouble running clear.
Re: Todays Ref
5I thought he made a few mistakes. He missed the back pass to the keeper who picked up the ball. Couple of dubious decisions - all against the County of course.
Re: Todays Ref
7I'm unsure of the exact ruling of that . I thought off any part of the leg is deemed back pass?Threadbare wrote:The back pass was off the thigh of Jacko, so was within the rules ( I think)

Re: Todays Ref
10It seems perverse that any part of the leg doesn't = kick if any part of the arm does = handball.
I thought the ref had turned away because the keeper was going to collect the header back to him anyway.

Re: Todays Ref
11You can certainly control and direct a ball with you thigh, calf.Any pass back deliberately via a leg or foot should had resulted with a free kick from where the keeper picked it upThreadbare wrote:Can you "kick" with your thigh ?
I would jave thought a kick is with your foot ?
I thought the ref was far from perfect, his biggest mistake was not playing advantage after Pipes foul, he also failed to take action against Colchester continually taking quickj throw ins 5 yards further forward than when they went out
Re: Todays Ref
12Refs generally seem to be more lax on where throws are taken this season, I'm wondering if they've been told to make it a low priority.
Re: Todays Ref
13The laws of the game clearly state backpasses have to be made with the foot, as you don't kick with a leg. "It has been deliberately kicked to the goalkeeper by a team-mate".
You have always been able to thigh the ball back. What you can't do is artificially contrive a backpass (eg chipping the ball onto your own head to head back, or kneeling down to thigh back a ball on the ground).
East is a decent ref even at Prem level, not surprised he did well yesterday.
