No Morris either. We are in deep trouble. I hope I'm wrong but i believe this team is nowhere near good enough for league 2 and most are on 2 year contracts. A highly risky strategy of trying to sign players to make money on.  If it was that easy everyone would be doing it. We signed a few players like this under Rowberry and look where that ended. When you sign a whole squads worth god knows where that could end up. I do hope I'm wrong for all our sakes.

Thanks for travelling in good numbers for a psf, as it will make the difference in our boost the budget so we can re-sign Ceesay on a contract.It's so depressing in the NLN apart from Scunny, Chester, Kidderminster, most other teams bring around 20 fans even on a Saturday maybe 50 if we are lucky Good luck for next season as I have a soft spot for Newport my dad was posted to Newport in 1982 Barrack Hill and I went to St Joseph's School for a couple of years. Did visit Somerton Park and Rodney P.... with the Rugby. Good memories

Have to agree with Ugo and I hope we are both wrong. Absolutely no point in saying give the team 10 games. What happens after that. Replace most of the squad who are on two year contracts who have proved they are not league 2 players. There won't be many clubs queuing up to take them on and we won't have the cash to pay them off. I'm no expert but in my opinion most of our new acquisitions are not (yet) league 2 players. We have made our bed as they say and this squad needs to do enough to survive this season. No more than that. I pray that we do survive and kick on the season after with a squad which has show enough development to justify those contracts.
I hope and I believe we will survive but 22nd will do me fine this season.
If we don't then, like Ugo says, we will be in a desperate position.

Someone told me he was manager of their B team?

Yes. I am getting confused. It is Maritmo A that play in the Portuguese 2nd tier. The B team play in the 4th tier. Which in Portugal which is a small country is likely to be quite a low standard by British standards.
