Tricky one for us exiles... I don’t get to come as often as I want, when I was younger I used to come on my own, never chatting to anyone just on my own in the corner.
In later life the wife came too, but only really enjoyed it when part of a chanting crowd,

Well we spent an awfully long time talking about it darling. And the anticipation before hand was quite something. But in the end it was all over very quickly and to be quite honest love you as I do, frankly it's Saturday night and all I can feel is that sad mixture of utter frustration mixed with more than a tinge of disappointment. Still, as I say I love you, so let's give it another go Tuesday.

Then again a County player might say:
Yes I know I said I was up for it but frankly I've been under a lot of pressure lately. Look it's no big deal, failure to perform has happened to most players at some time or another.
