I'm just looking at it as a chance to see some of the best players in the world in a game where our own players should feel zero pressure. If City's team were all the same nationality, they could easily win the World Cup.

Incidentally, the TV commentator on the Boro game said Bristol City paid Luton £400k for Bakinson!

I was at that game !!! Stood on the Cromwell End and remember thinking how big Joe Corregans hands were !!!

Yes I was at the Cromwell end that night as well. I have never been so wet watching a game. I remember Len's emotional thank-you over the PA. I tried to keep the program dry but that whats given it its worn look.

I will look in my attic to see if I can find my copy of the programme. If I do .you can have it as I have thousands of old programmes there , not thousands of copies of that particular programme.

I was a ball boy that game, I got bloody soaked in front of the old Cromwell end, the tracksuit fitted perfectly, unfortunately. The referee (Howard King) asked if I was ok second half (not a fan of my drowned rat impression!!) and I think he blew up early that game , thankfully

That wouldnt happen now , a ref from Merthyr reffing a game with Newport playing....Spoke to him a few weeks ago in a doctors surgery in Merthyr ( I recognised him straight away as he has hardly changed..he is 72 now)..He is a bit of a lad see his wiki page Prostitutes , dogging

It was only a testimonial, so it wouldn't have mattered if the ref came from Newport.

Will anyone be on the message board during the match tomorrow? I expect it will be very deserted with everyone at the game or watching BT Sport. No need to get too many biscuits in then .

That's not what he means. He is referring to the fact that no Welsh referees officiate in English games nowadays. That's another thing we the FAW to thank for.
