He seems to me to position himself slightly further off his line than most, maybe because he isn't the tallest, trusting his reflexes and narrowing the striker's angle. I think he psyched them out.

Although not one of his better games, Sheehan did so well to put that penalty away. Two regular penalty takers off the pitch, 94th minute and obviously our final chance to salvage something from the match. That's pressure!

This is a very good point indeed. Has anyone noticed in recent games that Twine and Sheehan are targeted with petty fouls that break up any flow and slow any forward movement? It’s most probably a planned tactic.

Last 30 seconds shows the “foul” for the penalty at a clearer angle in case any one hasn’t seen it. Personally didn’t think it was a pen at the time but the Salford player clearly pushes Cooper into Ellison. A bit soft but can actually see why he gave it to be fair.

Looked soft but there was contact. You win some and lose some and it makes up for the ref mistakes v Orient. Bout time Ellison started falling over in our favour.

Would like to see a close up of their pen as Willmott had a clear sight and a long time to get out the way of their corner.

Especially with their antics to delay the taking of the penalty.

That gives a clearer view of their defender clearly changing his line to barge into Cooper with no intent to go for the ball. doing such a silly thing obviously put s you at risk of giving away a pen. Academic now pen given and scored.

I would not call that soft. Their defender barges Cooper to spoil his attempt at the ball. That is a penalty offence.

I don't think Ellison was involved it looked like Cooper & Demetriou to me.
