This was always the job which I worried might come up. Flynn is very well-regarded by their fans, they are one of the biggest sides in the league and feel they're a sleeping giant. I'd be very surprised if he wasn't towards the top of their ideal shortlist. Whether he'd want to move that far away is a moot point and may be a big factor - plus, of course, the chance to win something with his hometown club. But I think this job has a lot more going for it than, say, Lincoln did when he was linked there.

They will be desperately hoping the next manager lasts till the end of the season because, if he does so, it will mean they have retained their league status. At the moment, they may not be looking beyond that.
