Raised this before isn't it time the Club restarted a woman's team ok perhaps not during a pandemic but put plans in place and see about using SP

They say woman's football is on the up and when spectators are allowed it could pay for it self

S4C showing live coverage tomorrow of Cardiff v Swansea in the Welsh Women’s Premier League; the first time they’ll have carried a live league women’s match. As well as those two big-hitters, the league also has women’s teams from the likes of UWIC (or whatever they’re called this week), Aberystwyth Town, Port Talbot Town &c &c.

As you say, we’re missing a trick to not make sure there’s a Newport side in their that is part of our setup.

We had a women's team once and they left us for Merthyr.

Yep from what I remember the team wasn't that well treated no fixed ground and I remember Stav having to come on here asking for help off fans

The club needs to treat women's football seriously

Not for me sorry, we have other things to spend the money on. Women's football doesn't bring any money back.

Agree there is doubt at the moment whether L1 and L2 football will survive - sorry but women’s football needs to look after itself without any funds from the club.

Let’s also remember that a lot of these teams are semi pro and heavily subsidised.
