Re: Ellison
5Great signing his experience around the club could be invaluable. You don't get to 41 and still be playing unless you're doing something right.
Welcome to the club Kevin.

Re: Ellison
6Part time striker coach too. He's started his coaching badges, so perhaps he'll transfer to DP to continue them (if he's not already doing his badges there).
Perhaps being over 40 he doesn't count towards squad capacity

Re: Ellison
7At this rate Frank could get a game.
Won't knock this signing and he'll get my full support, he's obviously still fit and knows where the goal is, plus will be able to help the younger strikers.
But this is probably one of the stranger signings I know of. Veteran striker based up north all his career turns up in South Wales. Fair play to him for his longevity and obvious passion for the game.

Re: Ellison
8I just despair
Total joke
Turned up because nobody with a bit of grey matter would not realise the fella should be retired long ago.
We must be odds on for relegation with this nonsensical signing.
GF fall on your sword before this club goes down the gutter.
Totally spoilt a Friday night.
Clowns running and managing our club.
Flynny will be gone by Xmas.
Total joke

He can't do any worse than Jackson or Myrie-Williams. He'll be a big asset in the dressing room and hopefully improve our forwards with his coaching.
Cheer up you miserable *******. This signing will not make or break Newport County
Re: Ellison
10As well as appearances, and coaching, he'll bring energy and charisma to the squad. Much needed ingredient, especially in current COVID 19 world.
Welcome KE.
Welcome KE.
Re: Ellison
11I'm actually alright with this. It's risky, but given how many no marks who've been through the revolving doors at least this guy has a bit of pedigree.
I'm quietly surprised he wasn't offered two years.

Re: Ellison
12I don't like this at all. In fact I think it is bizarre . I could never have imagined such a thing happening. Worries me to be honest.

Seriously he will make no impression on the field of play.
If we want somebody to walk up and down the sideline motivating the lads give Pipey a retainer.
Its just a total joke.
Spend the funds wisely on a decent striker.
Bet he costs as much or not more than Jamma.
Which one would you have.
Its not rocket science.
Sounds like Flynny signed him for the crack not for team improvement.
Seriously this squad will be struggling and a few injuries God help us.
Nice bottle of Malbec to cheer me up.
This lot are burning money over the last 2 seasons on total crap.
When it runs out goodnight and god bless.

14For a start virtually no appearances.Triangle wrote:As well as appearances, and coaching, he'll bring energy and charisma to the squad. Much needed ingredient, especially in current COVID 19 world.
Welcome KE.
Is he qualified as a coach - No
Energy & charisma do not make a footballer.
No idea what Covid 19 world has to do with Ellison.
But apart from those points everything else you said was spot on.
