Re: F A cup
18We lasted 80 minutes before we seemed to run out of steam. When the first Tottenham goal went in it seemed to knock the wind out of Rochdale and they looked a tired side.
They did well to get the last minute goal and earn a replay mind so good luck to them.
Looking at their league position and how precarious it looks we dont want them to earn too much money as it will give them a good budget for next season if they come down. OK they have 4 games in hand but they are a long way behind...11 points from safety..IMO they look doomed

Re: F A cup
19They’ve just spent half a million replacing the pitch (how is this stuff SO expensive?) so aren’t that far ahead of the game, all things considered.
Re: F A cup
20Presumably given the short time-frame it's rolled-out turf rather than hi-tech, but how long will it last with rugby league on it all summer? Their season is only just starting.

22it was imported turf from Ireland.....R/L doesnt scrumGeorge Street-Bridge wrote:Presumably given the short time-frame it's rolled-out turf rather than hi-tech, but how long will it last with rugby league on it all summer? Their season is only just starting.
Re: F A cup
23Their previous pitch was only down twelve months, I hope they shopped around this time.

Re: F A cup
27Agree, but unlike ours the ball is not bobbling so much which is Flynn's current gripe.Exile 1976 wrote:Watching Wigan v Man City and Wigan's pitch is in about the same state as ours.
Re: F A cup
28Wigan's Byrne on the right looks some player great pace and skill. Good match even more so Man. City down to 10 men.
Re: F A cup
29What a result. Fair play to Wigan, that was a very strong City side. No quadruple for Pep.
