Hazell Stand lighting.

Postby newgroundrodney » September 13th, 2017, 7:51 pm

With the darker nights just around the corner, I hope they're going to add some more lighting to the Hazell Stand, both in the seating area itself, and perhaps more especially along the roof, pointing down onto the touchline.
The shadow caused by the roof makes it quite difficult to see the line. I'm surprised they allow the game to start with such dim lighting on part of the pitch perimeter.
Has the brightness been inspected at a time when it's ALREADY dark I wonder.

The touchline shadows have been a concern for a few seasons, but now they're bandying a bit of money around, I thought they might have got the basics done. I suppose they'll wait til someone falls down the steps and puts a claim in.

I thought this was mentioned at the meet the trust meeting. I thought it was said that some of the lighting had been replaced?

Improved floodlighting was reported as being on the WRU's to-do list.

It's also difficult to see the far touchline from the Bisley - it fades into the background of the stand.
