2014 / 2015:
Newport County 2-0 Stevenage.
Two first half goals from Aaron O'Connor and Darren Jones were enough to earn County the three points. O'Connor was sent off during injury time moments before full time for a late challenge on Ron Henry. Maybe he didn't want to face one of his former clubs, Luton Town, seven days later. County had now gone nine league games unbeaten with only one defeat in seventeen. Stevenage manager, Graham Westley, was appointed manager of County some twenty-two months later in October 2016. County were now in sixth position after twenty matches while Stevenage were just below mid table.

Stevenage 2-1 Newport County.
Charlie Lee headed Stevenage in front around the half hour mark. They extended their lead midway through the second half when a free kick from Ben Kennedy, who had a loan spell with County some four seasons later, was headed into the net by Bira Dembele. Adam Chapman got on the scoresheet for County late on but it wasn't enough. County's Chris Zebroski was sent off deep into injury time after receiving a second yellow card. Stevenage moved above County while County were now ninth, two points outside the play-offs with eleven to play. After a positive first half to the season, this defeat meant County had won only two of their latest ten league games.

2015 / 2016:
Newport County 2-2 Stevenage.
Former England international Teddy Sheringham was the Stevenage manager for what was both clubs second league game of the season.
Dipo Akinyemi scored the first half's only goal, giving Stevenage the advantage at the break. Aaron Collins scored his first competitive goal for County on around fifty-eight minutes before Scott Boden scored with a tap in with around twelve minutes left on the clock. Mark Hughes leveled for Stevenage during injury time.

Stevenage 2-1 Newport County.
Jake Mulraney headed Stevenage in front after around nine minutes. Former County striker Aaron O'Connor extended their lead during the second quarter giving Stevenage a comfortable lead at the break. Alex Rodman scored very late on for County. With both clubs having only four games to play, County were eleven points clear of relegation while Stevenage needed just one more point to avoid relegation.

2016 / 2017:
Newport County 0-2 Stevenage.
County were now under the reign of Graham Westley, his ninth game in charge, and against a club he had previously managed three times. Stevenage gained victory with first half goal from an OG by Darren Jones and a header from Tom Pett. County remained bottom after nineteen games, one point from twenty second place.

Stevenage 3-1 Newport County.
Stevenage Striker Matt Godden scored a hatrick, two in the first half, the third being a penalty. Dan Butler scored for County shortly before full time. County were now five points from safety in bottom position after twenty-four games.This was an eighth successive defeat for County.

2017 / 2018:
Stevenage 3-3 Newport County.
The opening weekend of the season and the beginning of Mike Flynn's first full season in charge after the great escape some three months back. Tom Pett, who scored for Stevenage at Rodney Parade last season, put Stevenage in front on eleven minutes after intercepting a back pass to Joe Day by Scott Bennett.
Frank Nouble leveled for County on fifty-five minutes, scoring during his debut appearance. A penalty from Dale Gorman followed by a close range goal from Danny Newton on seventy-two minutes appeared to have won the game for Stevenage. Mickey Demetriou scored a screamer on seventy-seven minutes after his first shot was blocked. Deep into injury time, another debutant for County, Shawn McCoulsky, scored the equalizer. For a fourth successive visit to Stevenage, County had scored very late on but only this game gave them any reward points wise.

Newport County 0-1 Stevenage.
Both clubs were mid table come this late season meeting which seen a return to Rodney Parade of Dino Maamria as Stevenage manager in what was his fourth game in charge. A headed goal by Chris Whelpdale shortly before the break gave Stevenage the three points.

2018 / 2019:
Newport County 2-1 Stevenage.
A long range volley from Matty Dolan gave County the lead in the first minute. Luther Wildin leveled for Stevenage during first half injury time. A draw appeared the outcome before Antoine Semenyo shot into the net from outside the box deep into injury time. County were now third after thirteen matches.

Stevenage 1-0 Newport County.
This match took place on New Years Day, a mid season match in which both teams were around mid table. Despite having Curtis Guthrie sent off on thirty-nine minutes, Stevenage won this encounter with a late headed goal by Alex Revell.

2019 / 2020:
Newport County 1-1 Stevenage.
An absolute dire performance by County, as with some of their other performances this season. Bottom placed Stevenage took the lead on twelve minutes from Emmanuel Sonupe due to a mistake by Josh Sheehan.
A fifth straight defeat appeared a cert until Jamille Matt leveled during injury time.

2020 / 2021:
Stevenage 0-1 Newport County.
A first ever victory for County at Stevenage in six attempts. The games only goal came in the eighth minute, a penalty by Tristan Abrahams. After seven games, County were joint top, behind Cambridge on goal difference.

VERY highly unlikely.
Recent scorelines by both clubs suggest 0-0 or 1-0 either way.

As Llanwern Exile indicated, time Maynard started finding the net.

I shall watch the game this afternoon. And rather pathetically for a man of 63 I shall be sitting in my lounge wearing the shirt and scarf.

If in my opinion we play well I will say so. Likewise if we play badly I will say so. Just to be clear at one minute to three I will be utterly convinced we are about to turn on the style and win handsomely. As has been the case on what by now must be over a 1,000 times since the mid 1960's when my obsessive love for Newport County began.

I will though always try to call things as I see them. And if that upsets anybody, I really couldn't care less.

I’m feeling OK about this one. No idea why. Can’t make my mind up whether it will be 1-0 or 4-0.

I think it is only once, maybe twice this season we have won by more than one goal. It would be lovely to be completely relaxed about the result with 5 minutes to go instead of pacing the room and looking at the clock instead of the game. Did not enjoy last week at all.

Competitive games. We also played them in a pre-season friendly at SP in their first year in League 2.

Unfortunately,the management have a system where if we go one up we then sit back happy to play for time.Frustrating and nerve racking for us fans but listen,it is what it is,if i’m honest,yeah,huge,massive result,look we are little Newport punching above our weight.

On our day we’re a good side and, on their day, Stevenage are a mediocre side. Pitch should be drier, the fans are overdue watching a stonking 4 or 5 nil victory. All the omens are good.

Except, County are too inconsistent. After correctly predicting a 1-0 victory away at Walsall I’m plumping for a hard- fought 1-1 draw in this game. Micky to score another OG, Amond penalty for us.
