I don't buy it, to say publicly that he won't be going there and then to have an interview would be uncharacteristic for MF. Whatever you think of the guy, he's generally been straight-up in the press; indeed most of the stick he gets on here is when he's too honest!

Pretty much every league 2 and league 1 manager would have made it quite clear to cardiff they were interested. I dont buy he had an interview but i would guess talks between agent and cardiff took place with quite a few managers in league 1 and 2 but Cardiff probably made it clear they were after championship level experience.
