Sometimes in football, one player on a pitch gets a chance to stand out, a chance to show what they're capable of, that player is the goalkeeper.
Today, Joe, it's your turn.
You make a string of breathtaking saves, keeping some of the best players in the world at bay, and YOU WILL GET NOTICED!!!
The world is watching Joe, this is your Day......... make it a great one!!
Re: Joe, this is your DAY......
3I was thinking the same. Any of our players could really progress their careers today with an outstanding performance.

4...yep, for all his critics, the first name Guardiola named as a danger was Robbie Willmott!countyareup wrote:I was thinking the same. Any of our players could really progress their careers today with an outstanding performance.

5To be fair , most of the criticism of Robbie came from when he was playing out of position for the sake of the team. It is a pity that some of our so called experts could not recognise that he was out of position and cut him some slack.newgroundrodney wrote:...yep, for all his critics, the first name Guardiola named as a danger was Robbie Willmott!countyareup wrote:I was thinking the same. THAT IS MY FINAL SAY on the matter

If that's meant to be a criticism of his performance, it is completely wrong.Several excellent saves kept us in the game, whilst there was little he could do to prevent the goals.
Re: Joe, this is your DAY......
10A lot has been made on this board about his alleged poor distribution. Apart from one error in the first half which he acknowledged, his kicking was very good. Didn't see much wrong there.

11Sorry how dare you Joe's be outstanding all season great keeperOLDCROMWELLIAN wrote:Sadly it wasn't his finest Daynewgroundrodney wrote:Sometimes in football, one player on a pitch gets a chance to stand out, a chance to show what they're capable of, that player is the goalkeeper.

Re: Joe, this is your DAY......
12Looked a totally different player after their first goal..It looked like he could have broken his nose and that seemed to effect his performance from then on...in a normal League two game I believe he may have come off but obviously wild horse would have had to drag him off tonight
Re: Joe, this is your DAY......
13How dare he have an opinion? Should Day be immune from criticism because he's a "nice bloke"?UPTHEPORT wrote:Sorry how dare you Joe's be outstanding all season great keeperOLDCROMWELLIAN wrote:Sadly it wasn't his finest Daynewgroundrodney wrote:Sometimes in football, one player on a pitch gets a chance to stand out, a chance to show what they're capable of, that player is the goalkeeper.

14I agree he is a very good keeper at this level and has saved us many points this season with many MOM performances, but my personal opinion is he will be disappointed with himself with the conceding of some of the goals tonight.

15Agree, usually can’t fault him but he definitely could have done better with their goals.OLDCROMWELLIAN wrote:I agree he is a very good keeper at this level and has saved us many points this season with many MOM performances, but my personal opinion is he will be disappointed with himself with the conceding of some of the goals tonight.
