Not surprised by this at all, Day is way too good for this division, can't believe some people actually nit pick at him. He's saved us so much lately. Just hope we can keep him as long as poss before he goes, but also ensure we get a good figure for him, would say no to anything below £1 mill. At our level most clubs keep their head above water by selling their best assets, and with a great manager like Flynn, we can use it wisely.

I guess that the Manager identifying the players he would be willing to let go were the "right price" be offered is a better strategy that hoping for another cup run this year...

As the transfer window is now closed until Jan - my only worry is that with Joe being out of contract in the summer, no club will pay £1M for him in January when they can have him for free in June. I just hope no one does a Edinburgh / Byrne deal with Joe in Jan. "Don't sign a new contract, hold out to the summer and we will give you a nice signing on bonus to save the club paying a fee".
We need to get Joe a new deal ASAP if we want to make money from him.

Yep. Nothing to be ashamed of, you can count on one hand the number of clubs in the world that aren’t. As long as it’s invested wisely I’m all for it

Just the realities of being a club in League Two without an owner willing to cover the costs needed to keep the best players here. But, if we're going to make any money on him, he needs a new deal now. Otherwise he'll be off on a free in the summer.

Until the end of this month, he could go out on loan with a view to a permanent move involving a loan fee.

The transfer window is more ajar than closed.

got to be plan I imagine looks like mike flynns already making the first move so come January joe goes frees up cash for manager to strengthen or club makes some cash,although I don't think itll be enough to break even

Without a thorough review of the last three years' figures, we don't know what is needed to break even so difficult to say.

Every club is a 'selling club' . Every player has a price and if someone is willing to match or better it 99.9% of clubs will sell.
Who would have thought Real Madrid would have sold Ronaldo but they received an offer of £100million for a 33 year old and though it best to cash in......Juventus have almost rekindled the outlay on him by selling Ronaldo memorabilia and that was before he kicked a ball for them
