Re: Slow news day SWA
3Wow 4 arrests in the entire season. Maybe we should look at building a new Alcatraz in the river Usk?

Utter bog standard click bait trash
Re: Slow news day SWA
6l'm sorry to say that not for the first time I'm thinking that County and Newport generally will be better off without the Argus.
Re: Slow news day SWA
7Reading the earlier report it looks like they started out using a different photo nothing to do with County and featuring police horses from the Met. A reader's comment pointed it out.
Re: Slow news day SWA
8Nothing wrong with the article.
The headline however merely enhances my opinion of how the UK is served by a press which is utter trash.
A better headline would be, League 2 supporters an exceptionally well behaved group in society. It really is shameful.

Re: Slow news day SWA
9Dreadful click bait headline. Probably written 150 miles away from Newport . SWA eh? Are they still our media partners? What a f¥cking joke
Re: Slow news day SWA
10We are top of the league all and the Gus look for is negative news about the local team.Last week it was Blake and not taking the knee, and when we played Swansea, they dragged up the coin throwing incident from ten years ago.Rubbish journalism.
Re: Slow news day SWA
11Genuine question. Their link to Newport now seems tenuous. The company offices are based in London apparently. Do they still have the premises on Maesglas Road? It was there a few years ago.
Re: Slow news day SWA
12The offices at Maesglas have been sold for new housing I believe. They have an office in Chartist Tower. The paper is printed in Weymouth or somewhere like that. The national news on the website is syndicated throughout Newsquest corporation titles which is why you get odd looking stories about Ireland and other places obscure to South Wales. Comments on those stories are not necessarily from people resident in South Wales. There are one or two boys and girls working on local news/advertising presumably based at the Newport office and making up the paper for printing.
Re: Slow news day SWA
13Very interesting that if you visit the site you’ll find that the scathing comments in reply to the offending headline seem to have got the article removed. Can’t find it anywhere now.
